Past work : 1985...2010
HTML copy of my last printed book, 32x48cm, 2007, with a few 2010 additions ; all of the pages below come from the same source.
(a scope-limited source put together when I got my first Mac and scanner in 1999.)
Cover of my last printed book, 32x48cm, 2008 ; all following pages come from the same (scope-limited) source.
Charlotte Rampling.
Fred K. record covers for Columbia.
Elite model (can't remember her name but she was from Texas), Filippa with white cap and Isabelle Ballu, fashion designer.
Nathalie, Delphine and Tal Landman.
The late Daniel Emilfork in his Montmartre apartment, Yael in mid-millenium mood and Marianne Denicourt.
Lisa.
Unused record cover and booklet images. (we had an actual full-size cross built especially for the session !)
Paul record covers, commissioned by Form agency (UK) for Arista.
Manu Miroir and Jean Reno, actors.
(don't remember her name but that must've been around 2006 ?)
...from a series about young mothers.
...from a beauty & hair series ; the main model was german - Sabine. All natural lighting ; part of my best b/w prints.
Part of a Samsung campaign (?) and Tami Amit.
Philippe Garrel and Robert Wyatt. (I also photographed Kevin Ayers a couple of years after Wyatt.)
Mira Sorvino with a hangover the size of a stack of martini magnums.
Paul Weller. From the publication ; I don't know where the original print is (far more beautiful than this).
Three 8x10" Polaroid transfers - that is one process I really miss.
Ikea straw box twisted into an axonometry.
In what used to be the Baccarat museum in Paris - strange place. There must be others from this series of ads - somewhere.
One ad and one editorial. No Photoshop here : 4x5" Ektachromes direct to the printer.
My last real commission, summer 2000 : the eight main images of the Cross worldwide catalog. Mostly natural light deflected, diffused and shaped-up with bits of cardboard, tracing paper, mirrors and other odd items.
Editorial about smart drinks to the left, smart audio gear to the right. (years before *telephones* got to become smart as well)
4x5" Polaroid originals.
One of a partly lost 6-ad campaign for a magazine and a 4x5" Polaroid personal research.
Advertising campaign for PC computers ; not a bit of Photoshop here.
Two of a three-image series about sun and skin.
Part of a series for an orchestral institution ; most of them were used and reused for record covers, IRCAM posters etc.
Part of a series made for the Rock Official ; used and reused all over the world for record covers, ad campaigns, calendars, posters etc.
Chanel #5 set. This made its way later on into Chanel's little book about the thirty or so best images made around the #5 ; still used today (I was told).
Images made during my third trip in the UAE, 2009. This is when the return to photography started and when I began to leave all the rest behind.
