MOON Architectures \ maison Berthes, Ile St Germain
Small update series for Guillaume Hannoun.
No cars, welcoming clouds, beautiful small-big individual house which is as strong as it is discrete - a perfect september day.
Commissioned through Luciana Ravanel at Ante Prima.
Early afternoon, perfect sky, no cars (thanks to understanding neighbors) but not as easy to grasp as it may seem : fine-tuning is here the key. And I did get rid of a huge lamp post which apparently mushroomed this summer between the entrance stairs and the big white window.
Three hours later - TOTEM. Lamp post gone after a day of post-production spent re-creating the wood behind it, preserving grids and perspectives, the fence, the grass etc. I kept its base on the sidewalk as souvenir.
A bit earlier, full sun ; N is left, W behind the camera. Fine-tuning pushed to the limit : will the cloud I can decipher in the window make the right amount of graded shadow, will it be slow enough to allow making two images, will I ever get that soft light to the right... all at the same time ?
Now late in the day, sunset is near. Sweet soft light. The white van is part of those I dislodged earlier... it was bound to crawl back in the frame - can't have everything all the time :)
