Architecture

... has always been a passion : I grew up with Winsor McCay's Little Nemo and wound up working for a short but very intense time at the Fondation Le Corbusier in Paris, and, longer, at the French Institute of Architecture.

When commissioned, I don't ask for millions but I do ask for time : time to understand volumes, structures and orientations - time to work properly.

I use precise meteorology applications to plan for the shooting schedule(s) and work with a mid 60s Sinar Norma on Kodak C41 film, in 6x9cm and 4x5" formats.

Chosen images are scanned with my own Imacon 848 for large-size output (A0 size and above), cleaned-up and adjusted in color & contrast (by me), the latter steps being in fact planned during the shooting.

The contrast range obtained with this system duplicates the human eye's discerning sensitivity and unmatched finesse.
