Housing in St Ouen \ Fresh Architecture
Large two-tower housing project with a discrete but very efficient perspective twist ; just outside Paris, cornering a completely rebuilt lot mixing housing and offices.
Several supplementary images planned for august and september as the sun is too high for them now.
North-east façade. The main tower is skewed, aligned on the north street only, and the triangular balconies hide this. Neither blatant nor blunt, but sleek and just as it needs to be done.
South-west, main façade. Please note the crow standing spot-on on the corner of the main tower.
South-west, main façade, taken from the facing park.
South end, facing a still closed street. Getting that in-between sunlight was difficult.
North-east façade, sunset...
...bedtime.
Main entrance in the smaller brown-ish building, fireman jogging, tourists possibly on their way to the flea market.
South-west, main façade.
The inside court is very trying to photograph but there are nevertheless two cats sitting outside a balcony, probably dreaming of leaping out and catching a bird or two...
The court being sloped down, its perspective is exaggerated even when not using a wide angle lens.
Same spot as before but taken from the roof of the adjacent school. A hazed sunlight was necessary to even out the contrasts between sky, court, dark grey and white.
Detail of the south wing - done only for the scale given by the man who had the excellent idea of wearing a red t-shirt (he's trying to understand how one of his kid's toy works, too, so he stayed there a long time :)
(cars… do we really need them ?)
Peaceful ; secondary entrance lower left.
Secondary entrance which is fact the big one ; the other one is too small to be photographed legibly.
